Dr. Bye works with Cancer patients and those who want to reduce their risk factors for Cancer, through a holistic and complementary approach. Her Cancer patients have an Oncologist on their team for standard Oncology care. She works with her patients to improve general health and to establish customized protocols to complement and minimize side effects from standard Oncology treatments. Dr. Bye’s Oncology training comes through her residency and board certification process. She has been working predominantly with cancer patients since 2001. Finally, when the patient is in remission, she works to help them to recover from their cancer treatments and stay as healthy as possible with a customized patient-centered remission retention program. This program helps to reduce recurrence rates, long term side effects of Oncology care, and improve quality of life.

The majority of Oncology patients are using some form of complementary or alternative care, most of which is garnered from the internet and they are not telling their Oncologist. This can be dangerous. As such, Dr. Bye works with her patients to make sure that they are getting the best coordination of Alternative Oncology or Complementary Oncology care from a qualified source.

Complementary oncology is a fast growing field and changing every day. Dr. Bye attends several integrative Oncology conferences each year and is a member of the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians (OncAnp). OncAnp is one of many sources used to provide access to the latest current research.

Dr. Bye also works with family members of cancer patients and those that just want to be proactive to help reduce their risk factors for cancer.
